New Russian (local) offensive, Putin suspends START treaty, advancement into north Bakhmut.

There has been significant development since the last article I posted. We left off with the Russians capturing Paraskoviivka and pushing towards the villages south of it, as well as establishing control over the E40 highway which leads from Bakhmut to the major, more symbolic city of Sloviansk (where the 2014 revolution began). Once Bakhmut falls, Sloviansk is where the Russians will push to next.

So it is quite a significant development in the span of less than a week. The Ukrainian line running from Yahidne to Berkhivka collapsed and there is now fighting in central Berkhivka by the Wagner troops. And lets not forget, if the Russians manage to capture Berkhivka, it will just be straight open field to the last highway/road coming from Chasiv Yar to Bakhmut, the last supply line before Bakhmut is entirely encircled.

And we have not even began to mention that Yaidhne is 70% controlled by the Russians with the last couple of houses and buildings near the south. Once the Wagner forces capture this, it is a spearhead to Khromove. From there, Wagner can hit Ivanivske from two sides, North and South and once that is done, Bakhmut will not only be Operationally encircled, but fully. All the exits will be closed by Wagner.

There has also been reports of an offensive that has been started by the Russian army near the Kremmina front towards the town of Torske. Mind you, the offensive seems to have just started so we will not know results for a couple of days, but if there is a “Ukrainian collapse” then it will be reported on in a couple of hours.

Recap on Putin’s speech early this morning

Putin’s speech this morning, at 4:00 am EST was suppose to be either a “nothingburger” or a very significant development. And just like all speeches it is in-between. Most of the speech was the usually accusing the West of escalation (which is true), supporting the families of soldiers who participated in the SMO (special military operation), rebuilding the roads and buildings, etc.

But the more significant development was towards the end of his speech, where Putin said he would be pulling out of the last remaining nuclear treaty between the US and Russia, the START treaty. To give a quick rundown the new START treaty: The treaty limits the number of deployed strategic nuclear warheads to 1,550, which is down nearly two-thirds from the original START treaty. It also states once both countries have hit the maximum amount, they are to stop producing new nuclear weapons.

So it essentially means that Russia will now start producing nuclear weapons again at their full industrial capacity. Gone are the days that Russia is stuck at 6,000 nuclear bombs, it will be rapidly increasing in the coming years. We have constantly been warning people that this constant escalation does no one good. Because Russia will not lose in Ukraine and cannot afford to lose, even if it means deploying nuclear weapons (which I still think is unlikely but who knows). This development is bigger than anyone could have predicted, even shifting the war in Ukraine from an SMO to a declaration of war is not nearly as big as this.

This essentially tells and signals to the USA that Russia is ready to advance its nuclear forces more, and modernize it. It is a dangerous development that will just be swept under the rug, the masses will ignore it, but this is 1 more step to total nuclear war. Be careful, and be ready, read the news for any signs.
